Job Summary

The SWTHZ Assistant Studio Manager plays a critical role in helping lead and motivate the team to deliver an exceptional guest and member experience that drives membership growth, retention, and revenue. You will be a passionate advocate for the SWTHZ brand, embody our core values of integrity, respect, fairness, and excellence.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

Sales and Membership Growth:

- Achieve studio membership and revenue goals: Collaborate with the sales associates on effective ways to develop and implement strategies to attract new members and maintain existing ones.

- Provide exceptional sales support: Coach sales associates on effective sales techniques and product knowledge.

- Assisting the studio manager with reaching goals and helping the sales associates reach theirs.

-Assisting the studio manager with in studio and out of studio community events

-Ensure all studio supplies and equipment are effectively managed and maintained to support the client experience


Leadership and Management:

- Help build and cultivate a high performing engaged team: Foster a positive and collaborative work environment where employees feel valued, motivated, and empowered to succeed.

- Help assist in coaching team members: Provide effective training and coaching to ensure all team members possess the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.

- Lead by Example: Demonstrate exceptional work ethic, communication, and customer service skills, inspiring your team to do the same.


Operational Excellence:

- Ensure smooth and efficient daily operations

- Maintain a clean, inviting, safe studio environment: Implement and enforce hygiene and safety protocols to create a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all guests and members.

- Manage studio cleanliness

- Identify and help implement operational improvements: Keep a strong pulse on your studio. Continuously identify opportunities for improvement in a team member and member experience. Implement effective solutions as needed.

-Monitor key membership KPI’s and use insights and experience to inform strategic decision-making

-Assist in managing key expense categories such as payroll, scheduling, and supplies

-Actively participate in marketing initiatives and promotions to drive awareness and generate leads

-Network and execute grassroots marketing initiatives in your studios community 


Job Based Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Leadership: Inspire a shared sense of purpose in the studio. This includes leading the team through change and coaching through ambiguity.

Business Acumen: See beyond the surface, understanding the intricate dance between sales and operations.

Strategic Thinking: Problems and challenges in the studio are not roadblocks, but puzzles waiting to be solved. Be a problem solver.

Persuasion: Relationship based selling. Can you build that trust with a studio guest (intro) that creates a compelling vision for why they should join and become a member at the studio?

Delegation and Empowerment: Delegate in a manner that yields strong revenue and membership targets


Requirements

Minimum Education Level / Certifications:

- High School Diploma

- Degree / relevant experience in a related field

-CPR/AED

-Specialized credentials preferred or equivalent work experience or education in specialized function


Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications:

- 2+ years of experience in a sales environment, wellness or fitness sales is preferred 

- 2+ years of experience managing a team of 5+ employees in a fitness, wellness, or customer service setting

- Experience with relationship-based selling, building value, and overcoming objections 


Physical Demands / Environmental Conditions 

- Must be able to lift 50 pounds

- Physical efforts required for daily duties including squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, jumping, and prolonged standing and walking


Availability

-Weekend availability

-45+ hours/week
